RCA is different. It always has been. It was set up that way. We didn’t believe that lecturers had to be boring, in suits, be old and academic.
We believed in talent and a laid back approach.
An approach where the student feels welcome and supported, and the tutor free to concentrate on what they do best, in whatever manner suits them personally. We believe in people - and they need room to thrive. Forget old fashioned stuffiness, embrace a more human approach to studying. We believe in technology working for us - not against us.
We believe in innovation. We believe in the underdog.
These beliefs and approach allows us to focus and bring about success in our 3 goals:
1) The best Lecturers
2) The best Customer Service
3) The best Studying support
At RCA you are never just a number, you’re one of us and we try never to forget that.
Aaron has been with RCA Belfast since its inception and is our lead lecturer responsible for a wide range of subjects.
Although he has extensive experience both in public practice and industry, it was always the preparation of students for accountancy exams that held his interest and he was delighted to be the first full-time employee within RCA Belfast.
Aaron is now a director with RCA and has responsibility for ensuring that all our classroom and online tuition is up to the high standards we set here at RCA as well as teaching his own subjects.
Having been placed in the top 3 in Ireland and top 20 in the world in no less than 4 ACCA subjects during his own qualification (including the toughest 2 papers - P2 and P4) he knows what it takes to succeed and tries to pass this on to his own students.
With pass rates always above the global average and many students also achieving top 3 placings including first in Northern Ireland for CIMA F2 amongst others you can rest assured that if you follow his advice your qualification will be a lot easier!

Who is this Richard Clarke idiot anyway…?
Richard has taught Accountancy exams all his working life pretty much (though there are acouple of auditing manager years at the very beginning in Shaftesbury Avenue, London that he remembers very fondly
He worked at BPP London as a full time tutor and quickly rose through the ranks to be their best rated tutor by students.
This led to him becoming the Director of Training, responsible for training all BPP tutors worldwide. He was also asked by ACCA to create a train the trainer course for all tutors worldwide alongside ACCA examiners, which he did for 3 years.
Then he became the International Director responsible for many of the international centers and for expanding further.
During this time he researched how adults learn (in respect of exams) and started applying it to his teaching and became widely known for these techniques. He also started as an ACCA and CIMA marker for 8 subjects! It soon became clear to him that he needed to start his own academy.
And so RCA Malta was born - which, in the shortest time possible, rose to become a Platinum rated ACCA centre. ACCA’s highest accolade and quite an achievement for one group of tutors with no support and starting from scratch.
Richard then teamed up with old school friend Marlon Beresford, a one time Professional Footballer! having retired from the game in 2008 Marlon was keen to step into the Business firing line and set about building and establishing RCA Belfast & Edinburgh.
Thanks to everyone at RCA especially CIMA P1 tutor Simone, she was excellent both in class and help with questions outside class, I would not have passed had it not been for her teaching methods

P3 passed 1st attempt! You were spot on, exam technique/approach is important as much as the knowledge! and F9 you were right, it was all about time management! CU at the next course sessions!

My ACCA lucky charm, never failed a session under the tenure of this great lecturer. My experience with Acowtancy.com is a fantastic one too!
I must say that the CIMA Strategy mock exam that Aaron, John and Paddy set and the mock review class really helped prepare me for this exam, it is probably what helped me pass.
Thanks to RCA again, contacted by ACCA this week and my P1 result was 3rd in Ireland and 13th in World. I made it clear to ACCA that this was down to RCA and Patrick Barr in particular.
Massive thanks for all your help over the last 3 years, making it as enjoyable as possible, passed my final exam, P6 with 64 marks! I honestly couldn’t think of a better place to get through ACCA.
I tried BPP but RCA were far better in every respect - I have nothing but good words to say about them - and would recommend them to everyone taking ACCA
Aaron is by far the best lecturer I have ever had, the way he taught P2 and P7 was fantastic, made it fun. Paddy was great for P3 and made P3 interesting (something I thought I would never say)
